Entertainment AIDS Alliance Hosts 10th Annual Wine & Wisdom

Los Angeles, CA — The Entertainment AIDS Alliance (EAA) will host its 10th annual Wine & Wisdom, a fundraiser supporting Elizabeth Taylor’s Endowment Fund benefiting the UCLA AIDS Institute’s CARE Center and Common Ground, the only comprehensive HIV agency serving Los Angeles’ westside community.

WHAT: Entertainment AIDS Alliance’s 10th annual Wine & Wisdom Fundraiser

WHEN: Tuesday, June 19, 6:30-9:30 p.m.

WHERE: Skirball Cultural Center, 2701 N. Sepulveda Blvd., Los Angeles

This summer’s night event under the stars features artisanal food and wines, smooth jazz by the Lori Jenaire Jazz Quartet, live and silent auctions and one of two exciting gift bags with purchase of general or VIP admission.

To date, EAA’s wine-tasting event has raised and donated more than $350,000 to two important organizations:

  • UCLA’s Clinical AIDS Research and Education (CARE) Center, is a ground-breaking agency, providing treatment services to people living with HIV and AIDS, as well as conducting cutting-edge clinical research.

  • Common Ground, based in Santa Monica, offers no-cost education, prevention and treatment programs to people living with HIV/AIDS and is the only comprehensive HIV-centric agency serving the westside, from LAX to the Ventura county line.

The Entertainment AIDS Alliance (EAA) was founded by a group of professionals in the home entertainment industry to respond to the urgent need for funding of AIDS service organizations nationwide. To date, EAA has distributed over $5 million to more than 155 national and community-based organizations that provide client services to people living with HIV and AIDS; conduct research for AIDS treatment and prevention; and provide advocacy to help shape and promote public policy advancing AIDS issues. All beneficiaries are required to be non-profit organizations and are evaluated for fiscal management integrity. A registered 501(c)(3) non-profit charity, EAA is run almost entirely by volunteers and more than 80% of funds raised are distributed to qualified beneficiaries. Today, EAA is supported by employees and companies in home entertainment, film, music, consumer electronics and game software industries, including distributors, manufacturers, retailers and associated business segments.
